What was Cupids birth story?

In most versions of Greek mythology, Cupid (also known as Eros) was not born, but rather hatched from an egg that was laid by Chaos, the primordial void from which all of creation emerged. Chaos gave birth to several primordial deities, including Gaia (Earth), Ouranos (Sky), Erebos (Darkness), Nyx (Night), Hemera (Day), Aether (Light), and Eros.

According to Hesiod's "Theogony," Eros was "the most beautiful of the immortal gods" and he personified divine love and attraction. It's worth noting that there are variations and alternative stories regarding Cupid's origins, as Greek mythology had multiple storytellers and traditions. Different writers and poets over the centuries contributed to the complex tapestry of Greek Mythology.
