Who is the scientist dr Roger Pulwarty?

Roger S. Pulwarty, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Scientist at the NOAA Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research focuses on climate science, climate impacts, and adaptation to climate change. He has extensive experience working with stakeholders to develop and apply climate information for decision-making.

Dr. Pulwarty has served on numerous national and international committees and advisory panels related to climate change. He is a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report, and has also served as an expert reviewer for the National Academy of Sciences, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Dr. Pulwarty has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on climate change. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and workshops, and has given presentations to audiences around the world.

He is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He is also a member of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA).
