Leonardo and the Vitruvian Man
Leonardo da vinci followed a vegan diet ?
On the boundless love that the genius of our Renaissance had for animals I have already written in other posts ( see https://www.pilloledistoria.it/7553/storia-moderna/leonardo-da-vinci-era-vegetariano and https://www.pilloledistoria.it/7549/storia-moderna/leonardo-da-vinci-animalista- un-anecdote), but what did he eat?
"The day will come when the killing of animals will be considered as that of human beings" wrote Leonardo, orienting his life and his diet to this purely non-violent philosophy.
There is not much evidence on the fact that his diet was entirely meatless, and therefore Leonardo's diet was vegan, however in the "Lives" Giorgio Vasari he tells of how he often went to markets or fairs to buy animals only in order to free them immediately "passing by the places where birds were sold, he took them out of the cage and paid him the price he was selling to those who sold them asked, he let them fly in the air, giving them back their lost freedom ”
A vegan diet can be a choice that can change your life, even following Leonardo's example.
Nutribees prepares healthy and balanced ready meals (even vegan) and takes them directly to your home!
Ideal for those who do not want to cook and for those who want to change their diet.
