Leonardo da Vinci. Among his thousands of projects, the Italian genius also thought of a "pasta machine"
Leonardo da Vinci he was truly a man of infinite passions, as well as abilities ( see https://www.pilloledistoria.it/9356/storia-moderna/leonardo-vinci-la-passione-la-cucina).
In fact, between a painting and a scientific project, the Tuscan genius found a way to deal with… pasta !
That's right, and his Codex Atlanticus proves it to us , in which the author tells of having invented a great machine capable of making what he himself calls an "edible string".
In other words, it was the Renaissance ancestor of a modern machine for making pasta at home .
