Profile of Leonardo da Vinci. Among his many passions there was also cooking
Not only war and flying machines, but also rudimentary kitchen utensils :even this was occupied by that unsurpassed genius of Leonardo da Vinci.
Yes, because, among his many passions, there was also that for the culinary art.
It seems that Leonardo himself tried his hand at cooking with great success and for sure he was very good at making cakes, as he himself states in a letter addressed to Ludovico il Moro in 1482:“[] and I make cakes that I don't have equals ” .
But what exactly did the Tuscan artist invent in terms of cooking?
We owe to him the "ancestors" of the corkscrew, of the slicer, of the blender and the mince garlic , not a little for a man who lived in the 1400s.
