In the small town of Falkensee, bordering Berlin to the west, was one of the many subsidiary camps of Sachsenhausen along with other similar facilities. The industrial exploitation complex was made up of four large spaces:a prison camp, a prisoner of war camp, a foreign forced labor camp, and a factory to use that workforce.
The dependent camp of Sachsenhausen held 3,000 prisoners until 1945. Like many other camps, the compound was evacuated on April 20, 1945 to lead the prisoners to northern Germany on a death march.

The area once occupied by the four Nazi internment centers has been converted into a memorial park open to the public. There are still some remains of the old buildings and the foundations of the barracks have remained in their original place. There are also information panels about the old camp.
