The Romans had some basic knowledge about the solar system and beyond. They knew that the Earth was round, and had calculated its size reasonably accurately. They also created their own calendar that closely resembles the modern Gregorian calendar. They were also aware of other celestial bodies and planetary motion, but their understanding was limited without the knowledge of technology we have today.
