What did King John Do for democracy?

King John did not make any notable contributions to democracy. In fact, he is often remembered for his oppressive and tyrannical rule, which ultimately led to the signing of the Magna Carta in 1215. This document, while significant in establishing certain legal rights and protections for the English barons, did not bring about any immediate democratic reforms. It took several more centuries and numerous struggles before democratic ideals began to take hold in England and beyond.
