Outdoor Games
* Marbles: Players would flick glass marbles to knock each other's marbles out of a circle or into a hole.
* Stickball: A variation on baseball played with a broomstick and a rubber ball.
* Kick the Can: Players would kick a can and then run away while the "it" player tried to retrieve the can and tag the other players.
* Red Rover: Two teams of players would line up facing each other and call out, "Red Rover, Red Rover, send [player's name] over!" The player called out would run to the opposing team and try to break through their line.
* Jump Rope: Players would take turns jumping over a rope held by two other players.
Indoor Games
* Board games: Monopoly, Scrabble, and Clue were popular board games during the 1930s.
* Card games: Go Fish, Crazy Eights, and Old Maid were popular card games.
* Yo-yo: The yo-yo was a popular toy that kids would learn to manipulate and perform tricks with.
* Paper dolls: Paper dolls were popular with children of all ages. They could be cut out of magazines and newspapers, or purchased in stores.
* Radio Programs: Children would listen to radio programs such as "The Lone Ranger" and "The Shadow".
