The woman depicted on the obverse side of the Barber half dollar is Liberty. The Barber half dollar was designed by Charles E. Barber, who was the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 1879 to 1917. The Barber half dollar was minted from 1892 to 1915, and features a bust of Liberty facing left. The reverse side of the coin features an eagle with outstretched wings and a wreath in its beak. The Barber half dollar is still considered a popular coin among collectors today.
