Making a Fundoshi
1. Purchase suitable fabric: Use a thin, soft, and breathable material like cotton or linen.
2. Cut the fabric: You'll need a piece of fabric that is around 110 x 35 cm (44 x 14 inches).
3. Hem the edges: Fold the edges of the fabric over twice and stitch them in place to prevent fraying.
4. Add ties: Cut four pieces of fabric, each around 110 cm (44 inches), and attach them to the top corners of the fundoshi. These will be used to tie it around your waist.
Tying a Fundoshi
1. Hold the fundoshi in front of you: With the ties hanging down on either side.
2. Wrap it around your waist: Bring the right tie over the left and tie it into a secure bow around your waist. Then bring the left tie over to the right and tie it in the same way.
3. Adjust the ties: Make sure the fundoshi is snug but not too tight.
4. Tuck the front portion: Tuck the front of the fundoshi between your legs and secure it with the ties at the back.
5. Optional: You can also tie the ties in a variety of different ways for different styles and looks.
