British peers killed in World War 1?

* Lieutenant Robert Arthur James Gascoyne-Cecil, 5th Marquess of Salisbury (23 October 1893–23 April 1916) was the eldest son of James Gascoyne-Cecil, 4th Marquess of Salisbury and his wife, Lady Cicely Gore, eldest daughter of Arthur Gore, 5th Earl of Arran. He was educated at Eton College and New College, Oxford. In 1915, he joined the Grenadier Guards and was posted to the Western Front. He was killed in action on 23 April 1916, at the Battle of the Somme. He was 22 years old.

* Lieutenant Edward William Spencer Cavendish, Viscount Cavendish of Furness (12 March 1895–4 July 1916) was the eldest son of Victor Cavendish, 9th Duke of Devonshire and his wife, Lady Evelyn Fitzmaurice, daughter of Edmund Fitzmaurice, 1st Baron Fitzmaurice. He was educated at Eton College and Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1914, he joined the Coldstream Guards and was posted to the Western Front. He was killed in action on 4 July 1916, at the Battle of the Somme. He was 21 years old.

* Captain the Honourable Charles Alexander Yorke (11 December 1899–25 September 1917) was the second son of John Yorke, 7th Earl of Hardwicke, and his wife, Lady Mary Somerset, daughter of Henry Somerset, 9th Duke of Beaufort. He was educated at Eton College and the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. In 1915, he joined the Grenadier Guards and was posted to the Western Front. He was killed in action on 25 September 1917, at the Battle of Passchendaele. He was 17 years old.
