In what type of structure was pharaohs buried?

Pharaohs were buried in pyramids. Pyramids are large, triangular structures built from stone or mud brick that were used as tombs for the pharaohs of ancient Egypt. The pyramids were built to protect the pharaohs' bodies from being disturbed and to ensure their safe passage into the afterlife.
