History
1803
A regiment is created within the Marine Artillery Corps. He took part in the Napoleonic wars, notably in the campaigns of Saxony (1813) and France (1814).
1838
First expedition to Mexico.
1854-1855
The regiment participated in the Crimean War and the siege of Sevastopol.
1863
Second expedition to Mexico.
1870
The regiment forms the artillery of the 'Division de Marine' (or Blue Division) which includes the 4 regiments of marine infantry. This is covered with glory in Bazeilles (August 31 and September 1) near Sedan. The commemoration of the battles of Bazeilles is celebrated each year by the Marine troops, whose feast it is.
1883-1885
Participation in the Tonkin War, which confirms the French presence in Indochina.
1892
The regiment formed the artillery of the Dahomey expedition (now Benin).

1914-1918 The 1erRAC forms the artillery of the 2eDIC (colonial infantry division). With her, he distinguished himself during the battles of the Marne (September 1914), Champagne (1915), the Somme (1916), the Aisne (1917), the Chemin des Dames (1917) and Reims ( 1918).
The regiment is mentioned twice in the orders of the army and receives the Croix de guerre 1914-1918.

With the artillery of the Free French Forces, Squadron Leader Laurent-Champrosay forms the 1erRAFFL (Artillery Regiment of the Free French Forces).
1942-1945
The 1erRAFFL follows the 1reDFL (Free French Division) in its epic. Heroic resistance at Bir-Hakeim (1942), fighting at El-Alamein, Tunisia campaign, landing in Provence, Alsace campaign, battles in the Alps.
The regiment is mentioned three times in the order of the army and receives the Croix de guerre 1939-1945. He also received the Cross of Liberation.
1956-1962
A detachment of the regiment takes part in operations in Algeria.
