Wat Phra Non Nong Phueng There is a legend that in the past, this area was inhabited by Lua people. Around the 13th Buddhist century, there were 5 Maha Thera's who arrived. Lua people therefore brought honeycomb from a tamarind tree beside a pond near the village to offer and built a temple called Wat Nong Phueng.
