Wat Phra Borommathat is located in the center of Nakhon Chum. Assumed to be old since the Sukhothai period, as evidenced in the main Sukhothai inscription 3 (Nakhon Chum inscription) mentions Phra Maha Thammaracha (Lithai), the Sukhothai king. He came to make Phra Sri Mahathat and planted a Phra Sri Maha Bodhi tree that came from Lanka in the middle of Nakhon Chum in the year 1900, which is assumed to be this royal relic. Currently, Wat Phra Borommathat is a temple where monks still live in the Buddhist Lent.
