archaeological essence

From the survey and study of the Fine Arts Department in the past, archaeological evidence was found on the soil surface within the village of Phon Phra. especially the scattered earthenware fragments and dense in the middle of the village, which is the highest point of the hill.

From cutting roads through the middle of hills and excavating soil to build charcoal furnaces. It shows a layer of deposition of many human activities in the past. Important archaeological evidence such as

1. Two human skeletons (the villagers already burned it for merit making) and many fragments of earthenware buried with skeletons were found.

2. Earthenware, almost all of them are in perfect condition, filled with round leaves, 53 items.

The surveyor gave a preliminary assumption. Evidence suggests that the site was probably a prehistoric burial ground. The offering was buried along with the body of the deceased as well.

This ancient community remains contemporary and is related to Ban Khok Khon archaeological site. (Or possibly the same community) because they are close to each other and have found similar archaeological evidence. The age of the period from the cultural age of the archaeological site where the pottery was found was similar. That is, probably in the late history or the Iron Age.
