General Condition

Wat Chom Trai is a temple that is still in use today, at present, the chapel is an archaeological site that has been well preserved and the area is flat at the foot of Khao Banthat. That is about 7 kilometers to the east. The area surrounding the temple is generally gardens and houses of the villagers. In front of the temple or on the south side, next to Wat Chom Trai School On the other side, the other part is adjacent to the garden and the houses of the villagers.

Wat Chom Trai is a royal temple. Under the Maha Nikaya Sangha, formerly known as "Wat Choo" or "Wat Krachow", built around 1850 and renamed "Wat Chom Tri" in 1941, was granted Wisung Kam Sima on August 14, 1942. Wisungkhamsima, width 24 meters, length 30 meters, tied up with Phatthasima on April 10, 1943 (National Office of Buddhism 2022; Panuwat Ueasamarn et al. 2018)

Important things inside the temple include a rectangular ubosot. It is a reinforced concrete building. facing east The base is made of a plexiglass base. The upper part is made of wood. The roof is stacked on three levels. The entrance door is in the middle of the front. (East side) only one door There are stairs leading up to the door, flanked on both sides of the door through the window pane. As for both sides, there are 6 windows on each side, while the rear has 2 windows on each side. Make an arch of Buddha images in the southern traditional art style in the middle. and make a staircase that can walk up to the Buddha image in the arch All shutters are wooden

Architectural styles and construction techniques of this chapel It is a characteristic of a true native craftsman, not decorated with bouquets of flowers, rooster leaves, swan tails, gables, and cantues, like in general ordination halls, which are found scattered in many places in the southern region, aged about 70 years ago.

Inside the chapel is a Buddha image named "Phra Phuttha Chom Trai" built in 1945, lap width 3 cubits 4 inches, height 4 cubits 6 inches, is the first Buddha image cast in metal casting ceremony in Trang Province (Phanuwat Euasamarn et al. 2018; Fine Arts Department 2022)

Outside there is a parapet and a glass wall surrounding it. The base of the parapet is made into the shape of a lotus flower overlapping in 2 layers.
