Boycott of Simon Commission

The Simon Commission arrived in India in 1928. A commission under the leadership of Sir John Simon was organized for the purpose of examining the progress of the Matford reforms in India, whose members were white. The nationalists decided to boycott it.

An all-party meeting was organized in Bihar under the leadership of Anugrah Narayan Sinha, in which a plan was made to organize the youth and protest for the boycott of the Simon Commission. When the Commission reached Patna on 12 December and Ranchi on 24 December, there were protests, black flags were shown and the Commission was invented.
