Pyramid of Giza

It is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, it is the only one that still exists. Its construction dates from 2550 BC, during the 20 years it took to complete, it is estimated that 100,000 manpower was used.

These were paid with food and beer. The Great Pyramid of Giza is made up of three complexes. Political unification was allied to the construction of pyramids, as these buildings were national works that brought together all of Egypt.

Pyramid Structure

• Its external part was entirely covered with polished limestone. With that the pyramid glowed with sunlight.
• According to some hypotheses, the stone blocks used in the construction of the pyramid would have been dragged over wooden logs by a ramp.
• Regarding the safety of the pyramid, the measures taken by the creators of the construction were to glue boulders to block the entrances, heavy granite doors, empty chambers to lose potential invaders and corridors.
