When and where did the Harappan civilization flourish?

When: The Harappan civilization flourished between 2600 to 1900 BCE.

Where: It was spread over the basins of the Indus River wherefore it is also called the Indus Valley Civilization. The greater part of the civilization was in the present-day state of Sindh in Pakistan.

The site of Mohenjo-Daro is in Pakistan, while Harappa is in Pakistan's Punjab province. Other important sites include Ganeriwala, Mehrgarh, and Nindowari in Pakistan, as well as Lothal, Dholavira, and Kalibangan in India.
