Ancient history

What type of food did the pyramid builders eat?

The ancient Egyptian diet consisted mainly of bread, beer, and vegetables. Bread was made from wheat or barley flour, and was often eaten with a variety of dips or spreads. Beer was made from fermented barley, and was a popular drink among all social classes. Vegetables such as onions, garlic, lettuce, and radishes were also commonly eaten. Meat, fish, and poultry were also consumed, but were more expensive and therefore less frequently eaten by the average person. Fruits such as dates, figs, and grapes were also eaten, but were also relatively expensive.
