Did they use horses for world war 2?

Horses were still used to a limited extent during World War II. While tanks, and other mechanized vehicles were becoming increasingly important, there were still many situations where the use of horses provided certain advantages. For example, horses were relatively quiet, which made them useful for reconnaissance missions. They were also able to traverse difficult terrain where the use of heavy motorized vehicles was not possible. Additionally, horses were used for supply transportation and for pulling artillery pieces and other equipment.
