What does the word Atomos mean in ancient Greece?

Atomos is a Greek word that means "indivisible". It was first used by the Greek philosopher Democritus in the 5th century BC to describe the smallest possible unit of matter. Democritus believed that all matter was made up of atoms, which were indestructible and indivisible. He also believed that atoms were constantly moving and colliding with each other, and that this motion was responsible for all of the changes that occurred in the world.
