When were the Incas around?

The Inca Empire existed from the early 1300s to 1533, when it was defeated by Spanish conquistadors. The empire was centered in Cusco, present-day Peru, and at its peak spanned over 2,000 miles from north to south. The Inca Empire was the largest pre-Columbian empire in the Americas and is known for its impressive achievements in infrastructure, agriculture, and architecture.
