What kind of government did the mycenaeans have?

The Mycenaean civilization was a Bronze Age civilization that flourished in mainland Greece from approximately 1600 to 1100 BC. It was centered in the Peloponnese, with its main centers being Mycenae, Pylos, and Tiryns. The Mycenaeans were ruled by a powerful warrior-king, who was assisted by a council of elders. The kingdom was divided into provinces, each governed by a military governor. The Mycenaean government was highly centralized, with all power concentrated in the hands of the king.
