What did the Nootka Indians wear?

The Nootka Indians wore clothing made of cedar bark, deer skin, and sea otter fur. The style of clothing varied depending on the season and the status of the wearer. In the winter, men wore long cloaks made of cedar bark or deer skin, while women wore dresses made of the same materials. In the summer, both men and women wore shorter clothing, such as breechcloths and skirts. Sea otter fur was used to make ceremonial clothing and was considered a valuable commodity.
