Was the Islamic empire biggest empire?

The Abbasid Caliphate, also referred to as the Islamic Empire or the Muslim Empire, was one of the largest empires in history. At its peak, it spanned from the Iberian Peninsula in the west to the Indus Valley in the east, covering an area of over 11.1 million square kilometers (4.3 million square miles). It is considered one of the largest empires ever to exist.
