Where were Jews enslaved?

Jews were enslaved in Egypt as described in the Bible, particularly in the Book of Exodus. According to the biblical narrative, the Israelites, descendants of Jacob (also called Israel), were enslaved by the Egyptians after the death of Joseph, who had saved Egypt during a famine. The Israelites were forced into hard labor, building cities and monuments for the pharaohs. The biblical account depicts Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt and the subsequent events that shape the foundation of the Jewish faith and the story of the Exodus.
