Why did Indians live in TeePees?

Indians did not live in teepees. Teepees were used by Native Americans primarily from the Great Plains region of North America, such as the Sioux, Blackfoot, and Crow tribes. These tribes were known for their nomadic lifestyle, and the teepee was well-suited for their mobile way of life, as it was easy to set up and disassemble.

In contrast, many Indian tribes lived in various types of dwellings depending on their geographic location and cultural traditions. For instance, Native American tribes in the Southwest, like the Navajo and Hopi, lived in adobe houses, while those in the Pacific Northwest, such as the Haida and Tlingit, built longhouses made of wood. Native Americans in the Eastern Woodlands, including the Iroquois and Cherokee, constructed longhouses made from bark or logs.
