What country is the Inca empire today?

The Inca Empire was a pre-Columbian state that existed in South America from the 13th to the 16th centuries. The Inca Empire was centered in the Andes Mountains, and at its height, it spanned over 2,000 miles, from present-day Ecuador to Chile. Today, the territory of the Inca Empire is divided among several countries, including Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia. Peru is home to the majority of the Inca ruins, including the famous Machu Picchu.
