Are there any Incas alive today?

The Inca Empire was a pre-Columbian state that existed in South America from the 13th to the 16th century. The empire was conquered by the Spanish in the 16th century, and the Inca people were decimated by disease and war. However, some Inca people survived and today there are an estimated 10-12 million people of Inca descent living in South America. These people are known as Quechuas and Aymaras and they live in countries such as Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Chile.
