When was houses invented?

Houses have evolved over thousands of years, with different types of structures emerging in various regions and cultures. The concept of a permanent dwelling dates back to the Neolithic period, around 12,000 years ago, when humans started transitioning from nomadic lifestyles to settled communities. During this time, people began building simple huts, caves, and shelters using materials such as mud, wood, and animal skins.

However, it's difficult to pinpoint a specific date for the invention of the first house, as the development was gradual and occurred independently in different parts of the world. The evolution of houses varied depending on factors such as climate, available resources, and cultural practices. Over time, houses became more elaborate and complex, incorporating various architectural styles and advanced building techniques.
