The Seljuk Turks also occupied parts of Armenia, Georgia, and the Caucasus region. They were a nomadic people who were skilled in horsemanship and archery. They were also skilled in warfare and were able to conquer large territories. The Seljuk Turks played an important role in the history of the Islamic world and their empire was a major centre of culture and learning.
