Where did Isis begin?

Isis began as a monotheistic religion in Ancient Egypt. It was centered around the worship of the goddess Isis, who was believed to be the wife of Osiris, the god of the underworld. Isis was seen as the protector of women and children, and was also associated with magic and healing. The cult of Isis spread throughout the Roman Empire and other parts of the world, and remained popular until the rise of Christianity.
