Did the Incas believe they were descendants from Sun?

Yes, the Incas believed that they were descendants from the Sun. The Inca creation myth tells that the Sun god, Inti, created the first Inca emperor, Manco Capac, and his sister-wife, Mama Ocllo, from the waters of Lake Titicaca. Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo then journeyed to the Cuzco Valley and founded the city of Cusco, which became the capital of the Inca Empire. The Incas considered themselves to be "Children of the Sun" and revered Inti as their most important deity.
