How much does an Apothecary in colonial times Make?

The salary of an Apothecary in colonial times varied widely depending on location, experience and the individual apothecary's reputation. Some apothecaries worked long hours and made a living wage, while others struggled to make ends meet. Some apothecaries owned their own shops and businesses, while others were employed by planters, merchants and other individuals. In the 18th century, the average wage for an apothecary was around £200 per year. However, some apothecaries could make much more than this, while others made considerably less.
