What problems were Christian blamed for in the Roman Empire?

* Persecution of other religions: Christians were accused of being intolerant of other religions and of trying to convert people to Christianity by force.

* Cannibalism: Christians were accused of practicing cannibalism, based on their belief in the Eucharist.

* Incest: Christians were accused of practicing incest, based on their belief that all Christians were brothers and sisters in Christ.

* Disloyalty to the state: Christians were accused of being disloyal to the Roman state because they refused to worship the Roman gods and because they believed that their ultimate loyalty was to God, not to Caesar.

* Moral laxity: Christians were accused of being morally lax because they did not follow the traditional Roman moral code.
