Is Paul Revere considered a founding father?

Paul Revere is not considered a Founding Father of the United States. The Founding Fathers are generally considered to be the group of American statesmen who signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the Constitution of the United States in 1787. While Paul Revere was an important figure in the American Revolution, he did not play a direct role in the creation of the country's founding documents. He is best known for his midnight ride on April 18, 1775, to warn American patriots that the British were coming.
