Type 99
The Japanese Arisaka Type 99 rifle was built from 1939 to 1945 at the factories in Tokyo and Nagoya. It was the replacement for the Type 38 rifle and was the primary rifle of the Japanese until their surrender to Allied forces in 1945. The Type 99 was a
design variation of the Mauser and the first models probably had one of the greatest recoils ever observed on rifles of this type.
