This article is a draft for completion concerning the story, you can share your knowledge by modifying it.

Gall (circa 1840 – December 5, 1894), called in his language Pizi, was a Native American Hunkpapa war chief, one of the seven clans of the Sioux Nation.

Gall was born in what is now South Dakota near Moreau River. He took part in the war led by Red Cloud from 1865 to 1868.

After a period of peace, he became a war chief under Sitting Bull. He participated in this capacity in the battle of Little Bighorn (June 25, 1876) where General Custer and his men were annihilated. He decided in 1881 to end the war against the whites.

From 1889 he became a farmer and a judge in the Court of Indian Affairs on the Standing Rock reservation. He then opposes Sitting Bull, involved in the Dance of the Spirits movement which he denounces as a sham.
