Islam Religion or Politics?

When talking about the Arab-Israeli issue, what comes to mind is that the main reason for the conflicts is the religious difference between them. Muslims against Jews. But, in fact, religious differences are not the cause of the problems:these lie in economic and political issues. The birth of Israel is due to decisions by the United Nations, under the influence, especially, of the British who occupied the region until the end of World War II.

It is a pro-Western country that was born at the time of the resumption of sovereignty, deprived of the Arabs for many decades. Furthermore, the recognition of Israel as a sovereign state implied the expatriation of Palestinians. In this way the Jews had their National State, while the Palestinians were left to wander through neighboring countries, generating acceptance problems. After the Six-Day War, where Israel, with the help of Western war material, occupied new Arab territories, especially the region planned by the UN for the creation of the Palestinian State, numerous protests were made to that entity, which led to a decision that forced Israel to leave the occupied zone.

For approximately two decades, Israel has been claiming a security issue, shielding itself from the territory of Palestinian organizations, disregarding the UN decision. In addition, in recent years Israel has been expanding the process of forming Jewish colonies in the Palestinian territories. In this way it is clear that the Israeli and Arab interests are not religious, but political and economic, given that the entire conflict revolves around the occupation of the Holy Land.
