The constitution replaced the what of confederation?

The Constitution replaced the Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation was the first constitution of the United States of America. It was ratified in 1781 and remained in effect until 1789, when it was replaced by the Constitution. The Articles of Confederation created a weak central government and gave most power to the states. This led to problems, such as the inability of the federal government to regulate trade or raise money. The Constitution was written in order to address these problems and create a stronger central government.
