Main goal of congress Berlin?

The main goal of the Congress of Berlin (July 13 – August 13, 1878, Berlin) was to redraw the political map of the Balkans that formed after the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878).

The following were discussed and settled:

Ottoman territories in Europe are considerably smaller after this settlement. Serbia, Montenegro and Romania received total independence from the Ottomans. However, Bosnia and Herzegovina were occupied (and eventually annexed in 1908) by Austria-Hungary.
