William of Orange's view of the Treaty of Ryswick was generally positive. He saw the treaty as a way to end the Nine Years' War and restore peace to Europe. He also believed that the treaty would strengthen the position of the Protestant faith in Europe and help to prevent future religious conflicts. Although the treaty did not fully satisfy all of William's goals, he still considered it to be a significant diplomatic achievement.
