History of Europe

Two results of the treaty Versailles?

1. The League of Nations: The Treaty of Versailles established the League of Nations, an international organization whose goal was to maintain peace and security in the world. The League of Nations was headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and had member states from all over the world.

2. The German-Polish border: The Treaty of Versailles also established the German-Polish border. The border was drawn in such a way that Germany lost significant territory to Poland, including the important industrial region of Upper Silesia. This loss of territory was a major source of resentment for many Germans, and is considered by some historians to be one of the factors that led to the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party in Germany.
