The goal of the crusade was?

The goal of the crusades was to recapture the Holy Land from the Muslims. The Holy Land included the area of present-day Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria. It was considered holy by Christians because it was the birthplace of Jesus Christ and the site of many important events in the Bible. The crusades were a series of religious wars fought between Christians and Muslims between 1095 and 1291.
