History of Europe

Did Alexander the great conquered Rome?

Alexander the Great did not conquer Rome. Alexander the Great was the king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon and led military campaigns throughout much of the Middle East, North Africa and India, but he never reached the Italian Peninsula. At the time of Alexander's conquests in the 4th century BC, Rome was a growing city-state in central Italy, but it had not yet become the dominant power in the Mediterranean region that it would later become.
