What was the settlement of carolinas helped by?

The Carolina colonies were settled from England with support from two entities. The first entity was the Lords Proprietors, a group of wealthy lords and aristocrats who were granted a charter by King Charles II to colonize the region in 1663. The Lords Proprietors provided political, financial, and military support for the colonists.

The second entity that helped the settlement of Carolinas was the Fundamental Constitutions of Carolina. The Fundamental Constitutions were a series of laws and regulations that the Lords Proprietors established to guide the development and governance of the colonies. The Fundamental Constitutions included provisions for religious freedom, representative government, and social equality. These provisions attracted a diverse group of settlers to Carolina, including dissenters, refugees, and indentured servants.
