Who was Julio Cabot?

Julio Cabrera Cabot (November 26, 1879 – March 13, 1957) was an Argentine Army Lieutenant General and civil engineer who served as de facto president of Argentina during the Revolución de 1943.

He was born in Zárate, Buenos Aires Province. He joined the Army in 1895 and graduated as a civil engineer in 1899.

He held several important positions in the Army, including Chief of Staff of the Argentine Army.

He was also Minister of War under President Ramón S. Castillo.

In 1943, Cabot was part of the military group that overthrew Castillo. He was appointed president by the military junta, but he resigned after a few months.

He died in Buenos Aires in 1957.
